What You’ll Do
- Utilize your strong web application and PHP custom development skills to build, customize and extend WordPress plugins and themes to meet the business requirements
- Collaborate with the design team to implement responsive and visually appealing user interfaces
- Optimize website performance, including page speed, security, accessibility, and SEO
- Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and website enhancement tasks
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
What You’ll Need
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- A passionate and hands-on developer with at least 5 years of professional experience
- Solid understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery
- Experience with Angular and/or ReactJS would be an added advantage
- Strong understanding of WordPress and PHP back-end development
- Good understanding of different types of web security headers
- Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
- Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
- Comfortable working with debugging and/or Dev tools
- Ability to understand Less, Sass or CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
- Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML and/or WordPress pages
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools e.g., Git
- An aspiration to contribute to a data management company
