Job Summary
Astera is looking for Sales Development Representatives to join our growing go to market team. The top priority of the Sales Development Representative (SDR) is to work in collaboration with the sales and marketing teams to build out new opportunity pipeline for Astera. We expect our SDRs to be creative, scrappy, mindful, accountable, and driven to open up new conversations with both existing and prospective new customers. The SDR is an important role and can have a significant impact on the successful growth of Astera.
What You’ll Do
- Work collaboratively with account executives, marketing, and sales leadership to execute an outreach campaign for existing and prospective customer accounts
- Build out contact lists for the target personas and executives within a named account list, territory or region
- Co-Create personalized and tailored prospect and customer outreach via social, email, calls, etc. for initial outreach and nurture campaigns
- Prioritize leads and new contacts from target accounts to develop collaborative 1-to-1 account outbound marketing strategy:
- Leverage ABM (Account-Based Marketing) tools to prioritize contacts who have demonstrated an interest in Astera
- Astera and Partner Webinars
- Industry Events
- Respond to and coordinate next step, meetings or demos for in-bound leads
- Track all activities, and maintain and update the contacts information and status in our CRM
- Develop leads into active opportunities to pass off to the sales team for qualification and follow-up
- Establish relationships with key contacts at targeted accounts to keep them up to date on Astera
- Provide regular updates on campaign progress to Astera Sales and Marketing Leadership
What You’ll Need
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an outbound business development and lead generation role within a software, technology or related services company
- Hands-on expertise and success with building and executing call, email, and social branding, marketing, and sales campaigns
- Track record and sustained metrics of opening up new relationships within net new accounts
- Experience in using platforms like HubSpot, Dynamics CRM, LinkedIn and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoom Info, SalesLoft, Facebook, Google ads, and Google Analytics.
- Strong and effective communicator via phone, email, and social
- Ability and desire to learn quickly
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction, while also functioning and contributing as part of a team
- A creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills who understands the value of data when making decisions
- Experience selling/marketing data management and data warehousing tools preferred
- B.A. or B.S. preferred
