Job Summary
The QA & QC Manager will be responsible for leading the quality assurance and quality control efforts across the organization. This role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive quality strategy that ensures the highest standards of quality in all products, aligns with industry regulations, and enhances customer satisfaction. The manager will oversee a team of QA & QC professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement a robust QA & QC strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Introduce and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001:2015 or Six Sigma to improve consistency and efficiency in quality management.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements throughout all phases of product development.
- Manage and mentor the QA & QC team, overseeing recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and career development.
- Foster a culture of accountability and responsibility for product quality across all teams.
- Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the department.
- Oversee the execution of test plans, including manual and automated testing, to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Manage defect tracking and resolution processes, ensuring timely verification of fixes.
- Ensure adherence to quality control processes and standards.
- Identify, implement, and monitor process improvements to enhance QA & QC efficiency and effectiveness.
- Utilize quality management tools and methodologies (e.g., Lean, Agile) to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
- Analyze quality metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and root causes of quality issues.
- Prepare and present quality reports and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product development, engineering, and customer support teams to address quality-related issues and ensure alignment across departments.
- Engage with customers and regulatory authorities to gather feedback and address quality concerns promptly.
- Identify and mitigate quality-related risks throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop risk management strategies that minimize defects and improve overall product quality.
What You’ll Need
- Minimum 8 years of experience in software testing methodologies and tools, with at least 5 years focused on QA/QC in product development.
- Proven leadership experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with senior management and customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Relevant certifications in Quality Management Systems (QMS) and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001:2015, Six Sigma).
- Valid certifications in quality management (e.g., ASQ, ISTQB, CMSQ) are highly desirable.
