Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and technically curious Cloud & Systems Trainees to join our IT team. This traineeship is designed for individuals eager to gain real-world experience in cloud computing, infrastructure management, and day-to-day IT support.
Trainees will work closely with the senior engineers on critical projects, including public clouds, and will support both on-prem systems and end-user environments.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with daily IT support operations (issue resolution, ticket tracking, user requests)
- Participate in infrastructure tasks, including server maintenance, backups, and documentation
- Support ongoing cloud migration projects and deployments (Azure/AWS)
- Help maintain active directory, asset inventory, and endpoint security systems
- Document configurations, processes, and technical guides for internal use
- Provide support during system upgrades, patching, and monitoring tasks
- Collaborate with the team on automation tasks (scripts, monitoring setups, etc.)
What You’ll Need
- Technical Foundations:
- Understanding of cloud concepts (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and hands-on exposure to Azure or AWS
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows Operating Systems
- Basic command-line experience (Bash, PowerShell)
- Understanding of networking basics: IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls
- Support & Troubleshooting:
- Basic troubleshooting of laptops, printers, and user issues
- Experience or familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Zendesk)
- Good documentation and organization skills
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and teamwork
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work in a split shift environment
- Attention to detail and accountability in task execution
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field
- Relevant certifications (Azure Fundamentals, AWS Cloud Practitioner, CCNA) are a plus
