DevOps and IT Service Management Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced DevOps and IT Service Management Lead to oversee and optimize our IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across our hardware, software, networking, and cloud services. This role requires a strategic individual with a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to enhancing our IT services through continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a blend of hands-on technical expertise and leadership skills, enabling them to manage a diverse team and effectively interface with various departments and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

  • Installation, configuration, and management of computer hardware, operating systems, and network devices, ensuring all components are up-to-date and running efficiently.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware, software, networking, applications, and systems engineering to provide expert guidance and support.
  •  Working knowledge and experience of IT Ticketing Systems (not limited to Manage Engine, ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Office 365), with a focus on optimizing cloud storage gateways, EC2 instances, Workspaces, Route 53, ELB, and S3.
  • Provide professional recommendations for optimizing operations, including cost-effective practices that align with business needs.
  •  Develop and enhance skills to perform remote diagnosis and resolution of IT issues at various sites and for different clients.
  • Maintain, upgrade, and manage the IT infrastructure, including desktops, servers, and virtualization environments (Windows, Linux, SCVMM).
  • Manage end-user security suite applications (e.g., Symantec, Trend Micro) and ensure compliance with licensing and subscriptions.
  • Sound knowledge of server operating systems, virtual machines, ADDS, DHCP, DNS, Linux, SQL Server, Hyper-V, VMWare, backups, antivirus, and Office 365 management.
  • Advanced PC/Laptop/Server and other hardware knowledge.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and manage inventory to ensure the availability of necessary IT resources and services.
  • Administer domain, policies, and shared folder rights for users to ensure secure and efficient access control.
  • Oversee the configuration and management of Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS) to support development workflows and collaboration.
  • Work closely with other teams for project and operational activities, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve organizational goals.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecom, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in planning, organizing, and managing IT services, especially within IT Service Management team/departments.
  • Microsoft, Cisco, and AWS certifications are preferred.
  • Must have IT Service Management certifications/training (ITIL v3/4, ISO 20000).

  •  Expertise in diagnosing and resolving internal IT infrastructure issues, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading teams, with excellent communication skills to effectively present to C-level executives and customers.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly, establish positive working relationships with end users, and bring creative solutions to project implementation and support challenges.
  • Energetic, motivated, and creative mindset focused on continuous improvement and achieving high standards in IT service delivery.
